A new pier is required in Trunyan, a popular destination in Kintamani, Bangli regency, to improve tourism in the area. Head of promotion at Bangli Tourism Agency, I Wayan Merta, said that the existing dilapidated wooden pier needed to be replaced with a new one to improve convenience for tourists, especially as tourist numbers continued to rise to the area. He said since the current pier belonged to the provincial administration, his office had proposed its removal to the administration.
“We have proposed that the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry build a new pier, and this proposal could be approved after the provincial administration has completed the asset removal,” he said, as quoted by metrobali.com. Besides the pier, Trunyan also needs more toilets with better facilities and management.
