The provincial administration plans to establish an intelligence information center to improve the island’s security information systems. Gede Jaya Suartama, head of the province’s community protection agency (Kesbangpolinmas), said that the planned information center would allow all community members to fully participate in maintaining security in their neighborhoods, as well as across the island of Bali. The center will receive any information regarding security through an online system and general information. “The information center will be operated under the regional intelligence community [kominda], the Indonesian Army and the Police,” Suartama said. It is expected that the center will start operating in April.
