0 PDI-P confident with or without Pastika

The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Bali branch chairman Anak Agung Ngurah Oka Ratmadi stated on Thursday that the PDI-P remained confident of winning the upcoming gubernatorial election, with or without Made Mangku Pastika. “The PDI-P will still exist. Don’t worry. You know what happened in the Gianyar election? The PDI-P candidate won the election, even when we were just sitting doing nothing. 

People will know the best person for them,” Ratmadi said confidently. Unfortunately, Ratmadi remained silent on who would get the endorsement from the PDI-P. However, during the PDI-P 40th anniversary commemoration in the PDI-P Bali office on Thursday, some people were saying that the endorsement would go to Anak Agung Ngurah Puspayoga for the post of governor, with Made Urip as deputy governor. Made Urip is a seasoned PDI-P cadre. He is now a member of the House of Representatives. 

“There has been no decision made in Jakarta on who will get the endorsement. We are still waiting for the recommendation from Jakarta,” he said. The 40th anniversary of the PDI-P was celebrated with a joint prayer at the PDI-P Bali headquarters with Pastika in attendance. Pastika said that he attended the ceremony as Bali’s governor and as a governor endorsed by the PDI-P until August this year. “I am still the governor of Bali endorsed by the PDI-P until next August. I want to congratulate the party on its 40th anniversary. I hope the PDI-P will remain glorious,” Pastika said.
