The Tangerang Police said on Friday they had questioned five witnesses related to the abduction of the stepdaughter of dangdut singer Nassar. The witnesses included the girl’s teacher from state elementary school SD 6 in Tangerang, her friends, a driver, a house maid and an ice vendor. Tangerang Police spokesman Adj. Comr. Haru Manurung told tempo.co that they were still investigating the case.
“We are still trying to find the girl, even in areas beyond Tangerang,” he said. Nassar’s stepdaughter, Siti Nurjanah, 10, was abducted on Thursday after school. The singer said that he had no enemies and promised a reward to those who could help find the girl. The girl was with a friend, Wilma, when a man pulled her onto his motorcycle in Tangerang. Wilma said Siti yelled for help when the man, on a Honda Beat motorcycle, took her. Another person in a burqa jumped on and went off with the man.
