0 Insurance office ablaze

The third floor of the Bali branch of PT Jasa Raharja, the state insurance company, was ablaze on Sunday. There were no fatalities in the incident, which occurred at 11 a.m. on Jl. Hayam Wuruk, but the branch head’s office was damaged in the fire. “A computer server in the room exploded,” said Putri, an employee, talking about the cause of the fire, as quoted by Antara news agency. 

She, and other employees who were working overtime when the incident occurred, immediately left the third floor. Three fire trucks were deployed to the scene. People locally were worried that the fire could spread to a gas station located next to the office. It took 30 minutes to extinguish the fire. “The fire may have been caused by a short circuit,” said Ardy Ganggas, head of the emergency and logistics unit of the Disaster Management Agency.
