Bali Safari and Marine Park (BSMP) will
host the country’s first ever international natural bodybuilding and
fitness championship, slated to be held on Oct. 21. The event is
organized by Indonesia’s award-winning celebrity bodybuilder Ade Rai,
the International Natural Bodybuilding Association (INBA) and the
National Narcotics Agency (BNN). As many as 1,000 athletes from
Indonesia and Australia are expected to participate in 34 categories of
the contest.
Ade Rai said that the event aimed at
promoting drug-free bodybuilding and fitness. “Hormones and steroids are
dangerous for athletes’ health, that’s why I, both as an athlete and
the owner of a fitness studio chain, urge Indonesian and Australian
bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts to support and promote drug-free
bodybuilding and fitness,” he said.
